  12. The INRAC language in which STAR ALPHA is written
  13. imposes two special requirements which MUST be followed
  14. in order for the software to run properly:
  15.  
  16. 1. After CSSA.ZIP has been unpacked ("unzipped"), you
  17. must run the file "fix.bat" to prepare the INRAC files 
  18. to be run. To do this, type and enter "fix" from the
  19. DOS prompt. 
  20.  
  21. (Here is the reason: INRAC uses overlay files bearing the 
  22. extension ".zip"; these files are NOT compressed, but most 
  23. computers expect them to be. We thus transmit them to you 
  24. with a made-up extension ".csw"; the file "fix.bat" restores 
  25. the ".zip" extension necessary for the software to run. UNDER 
  26. NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you try to unzip these INRAC files!)

  28. 2. When you have run "fix.bat" (and all ".csw" files have
  29. thus been converted to the extension ".zip"), copy all files
  30. to a floppy disk, which you will use to run STAR ALPHA.

  32. NOW YOU ARE READY TO BEGIN USING STAR ALPHA!

  34. Full documentation is included in the file "stara.txt,"
  35. which you should print out using a word processor.

  38. by printing and completing the following portion of this file:
